This is heartbreaking and inspiring. Alice, thank you for your service to humankind and all the work you've done to provide a voice for the voiceless. Our industrial ag system is so embedded with and founded on cruelty -- both to animals and humans. I am in awe of your persistence and courage in creating this book. BIG bravo to you!

Thank you for the courage and fortitude. I grew up down the road from Tysons and, even in the 1960s, there were concerns about the way they treated their workers. I'm glad to see that you've included them in your project. Best of luck with it.

Thanks, I've had some poultry growers and former Tyson employees attend my book talks and they have had a lot to share.

My son and I are just beginning to outline a middle grade book about my immigrant FIL (his ‘Papa’). Always on my mind is what immigrants do for this country and how they are scapegoated. Thank you for writing this book.
