So many things about this essay. It’s a strangely complex thing to lose a related someone you didn’t love…Thanks for making me laugh while you walked us through it. And can we talk about Kate Spade glasses? I was recently in the waiting room with the glasses, looking to replace the current KS pair I’ve been wearing since the pandemic (also don’t relate to the brand). The glasses guy finally brought over a pair that looked good. Yup, KS. He said, “Yeah. For some reason, people who wear Kate Spade glasses often stick with the line.” Had to share… the universality of your essay goes farther than you think!
