I love how every memoirist's journey to publication is so different. She put down her project so many times as life intervened and published her first book at 57 - that's inspiring! I also love the idea of Margaret belting out songs in her car - fuels the creative process :) Thanks for this interview Sari!

Thank you, Istiaq! I'm inspired by her story, too, and how she persevered after life got in her way so many times. (Similar experience on my end, and I published my memoir at 56 after a long struggle. AND I sing in the car...and everywhere else...to let of steam and stay creative.) Good luck with your memoir.

I think it's a workshop where the emphasis is on writing in community, maybe with prompts. Carving out the time and space to get writing done, in the company of others.
