"I’ve always been one who writes into difficulty, so I did that, allowing each essay to approach a question I had about motherhood from a different angle."
I’m really looking forward to reading this, Jennifer. I am a generation plus older than you; I’m anxious to see where our motherhood (and in my case grandmotherhood) ideals, experiences, and frustrations dovetail - and where they don’t. I expect to learn something through the intergenerational juxtaposition of writer and reader.
Sari and Jennifer—I love this interview! Thank you both for sending such goodness out.
(Brought to mind “Mother Nature” by Sarah Blaffer Hrdy; I loved it.)
My son reminded me yesterday that he thinks of me sort of as his mom-dad, a warm compliment I received fully.
I look forward to reading Jennifer’s book.
Glad you enjoyed this!
Yes! Sarah Blaffer Hrdy was a huge inspiration and is mentioned many times in the book!
❤️this interview! Thank you both 🤓📖📚❤️🤓
Love this interview so much, and cannot wait to read her book. I hope she reads mine, So Many Babies, about an older mother, looking back.
💕
So Many Babies looks great!

Thanks, Jane! Do share what you notice and learn when comparing!
