Loved this. Mark Strand wrote a poem sequence about poetry, in which a dog called Spot asks, “What’s another poet in the end?” The dog says, “I wanted to praise the soul.” I ask Spot’s question (substituting “writer” for “poet”) every day and identify with his answer.
Thanks for another reminder to fight the imposter syndrome that has claimed the life of many a writer. I'm quite the veteran, but this encouraged my art. Keep a'goin'.
You expressed the ineffable and it touched a chord in my writer soul. Thank you.
So glad to hear this!! Keep at it, Gigi!! 🙏🏼💖✊🏼
I love how you democratize the concept of art. It is for all of us. We don’t need the gatekeepers to tell us what counts as art. Very empowering!
Thank you!! 🙏🏼💖✊🏼
The piece I really needed to read on a Friday afternoon lunch break. Thank you!
Ha! I love hearing that. Thank you and happy Friday!
I really enjoyed this. I'm going to share this with my workshop group next Thursday. Thank you!
I love hearing that. Thank you!! 🙏🏼💖✊🏼

I love this take.
For me, I write because when I do, I feel more alive, more like myself, more able to thrive, more connected to all that is.
Thank you!! I love what you write here too. “More connected to all that is” — yes! 🙏🏼💖✊🏼

Thank you. Namasté.
