Sari and Jennifer: I just can't thank you both enough for this interview. It met me at the perfect time in my own memoir process; I know this because of how my heart and eyes kept welling up on their own!! Thank you forever.

"my responsibility as a writer was to tell this story as honestly as I could, asking myself constantly: Is it true? Is it fair? You’re never going to make everyone happy when you’re writing a book like this" the line between pissing people off and telling the truth, it's a hard one. On one hand, there's honesty, depth, and compelling narrative with the truth. on the other hand, people may not understand why you share and write and the consequences can be surprising/unexpected.

Great interview! Super helpful as I have long been a memoir reader and am starting to tinker with writing one. I can’t wait to read Ambition Monster and hope I can talk my book group into it!
